This course was mainly focused on GitHub and RMarkdown. I provided an introduction into version control and explained how RStudio can be directly connected to GitHub, in order to create projects and commit and push all changes made. I introduced RMarkdown and showed how to create scientific reports in RStudio with incorporated text, code, tables and figures. In the second part of the course, I provided tips & tricks for fast and efficient code editing in R, which included both prepared slides and code as well as live-coding. Finally, I gave a talk on data integrity which was based on #PruittData scandal, in order to provide PhD students with useful advice on storing, managing and checking their data, and encouraged the students to make sure they always have a written protocol of their data analysis.
